Come and learn how to include native plants in your garden and surrounding landscaping in order to support our complex network of pollinators in BC, and to positively impact and conserve the ecological integrity of the habitats in our surrounding ecosystem. This information will be provided within the context of re-wilding the landscape that we live in.
Topics will include:
– Exploring the diversity of native bee families
– Learning how to tell the difference between bees, flies, and wasps
– Discussing the importance of native plants to positively impact native plant communities, and support specialist bees and other pollinators
– Learning some pointers on how to keep, include, and restore native plants in our surroundings
Lunabelle Loiseau-Tremblay is a local biologist with a strong focus in the ecology of native plants and pollinators. She is well respected and relied upon here on Quadra Island for her depth of knowledge on native plants and pollinators.
