Join Quadra’s own Andrew Udell as he shares his expertise in all aspects of growing pepper plants, from germination to harvest.
Like many other plants, peppers present unique challenges to growers. Also, living at sea level – and at 50N latitude – can add to these challenges. He’ll be looking at the many variables that can help (or hinder!) your pepper growing success – whether you are growing sweet peppers, hot peppers, or simply those in-between.
This talk will cover:
  • Genetics
  • Germination
  • Seedlings
  • Vegetative Growth
  • Hardening’ off
  • Production
About Andrew:
10 years ago, Andrew left the business world behind to live a simpler, more enriching life on Quadra. Growing pepper plants became a calling, and he has been selling whole plants and fruit through the Quadra and Campbell River Farmers Markets for 8 years now. With the help of his 4 cats……and owning a business based upon formal horticulture in the interim…..he has refined his own approaches from germination to pepper production.
Everyone welcome!  Come early to renew your annual membership, chat with fellow gardeners, and enjoy some coffee and dessert.  Doors open at 6:30. Members FREE, Guests $5.00.
