The Quadra Island Garden Club welcomes Dorothee Kieser from the Vancouver Island Master Gardener Association. Come and learn all the best practices when it comes to propagating plants from your garden. Knowing how to propagate is a wonderful way to expand your garden with your favourite plants or share them with your friends. It’s also a great way to produce plants to sell at our Annual Plant Sale on April 25th! Dorothee will be sharing her immense knowledge in a PowerPoint as well as doing demos and answering all your questions.
About Dorothee Kieser:
Upon retirement as a biologist, Dorothee wholeheartedly embraced gardening. She maintains her own large garden, growing rhododendrons, fruit trees, and vegetables. Being a Certified Master Gardener, she teaches practical gardening through hands-on and theoretical sessions. She is currently President of the Nanaimo Rhododendron Society and the Lead Mentor of the Vancouver Island Master Gardeners Association. She also regularly volunteers at the Nanaimo Community Garden and at Milner Gardens and Woodlands.
The Quadra Island Garden Club meets monthly to exchange gardening knowledge, promote sustainable and productive practices, and foster friendship among island gardeners.
